Are You Nervous About Buying a Home NOW?
With all the negative reports in the media about the housing slowdown, it is small wonder that you would be nervous. Despite some of the mortgage options not being available (you did not want them anyway), now is the RIGHT time to buy! Let me point out a few facts that back up that claim:
1.) Rates are still very low. With the stock market in a tither, investors will go to bonds which will lower the rate. 2.) There is a huge inventory of homes on the market which have to sell. You can be picky and expect reduced pricing. 3). There are many foreclosures and short sales that are on the market and you can get an excellent deal. The 'deal' may require some 'sweat equity' on your part to fix up the home, but not always. 4.) New homes are at a great price because the building supplies are 10-20% lower than a year ago. New homes are also in surplus, as well as building lots. Builders are willing to work with you for the first time that I can remember. Labor is also cheaper due to the law of supply and demand. 5.) The government is giving great incentives to make your house 'green' and energy-efficient. This is a superb time to save on your utilities in the future and add value to your home at the same time. 6.) You can be 'choosy' about the agent you work with. Pick a professional who has the experience to understand the market condition and who can assist you in finding a good location and home that will hold the value, and who knows the pitfalls of negotiations in real estate. 7.) AND, you can still be in your new home at the end of Summer!
GREAT INTEREST RATES... GREAT SELECTION OF HOMES... GREATLY REDUCED HOME PRICING! GREAT FORECLOSURES & SHORT SALES! Now is the time! Let's sit down and make a plan for your future and get you in your home! (If you have a home to sell first, let's get that taken care of)! With the proper help, your home WILL SELL!
